Why to trust apple and the I pod

Some of the best things that I ever know about the i pod is its functionableility to be able to connect to itunes. now of course there are a lot of people out there that do use the ipod but they dont know some of the best features that are available for you to use. You must be able to take advantange of these to be able to use your ipod t the best of its ability. and of course if and when you do you will be okay in knowing how amazing the ipod actually is. If you are someone that is not used to using the ipod, you will be able to see many different types of tutorials on youtube, because there are many people in the same position as you.

Of course if you really want to get official ipod help then you can either go to the book that you got with your ipod or even try going elsewhere. I would recommend before you start going on the internet to look for resources that will be able to help you out. You should at least look at the manual that you will be getting with the i pod itself. Sometimes it can be stressful going through all of those pages that seem like they are written for three year olds but I can assure you that you will eventually be okay once you have finally gotten onto your ipod and you are using all the functions that are meant to be used. If you are new to being able to using your ipad then think about doing these things, and at last resource if all goes bad, then do try to contact your apple friends for the best help that you can get (oh yeah i think that they have a websites that you can send emails to that will reply to your querie!)

Have you seen the apple I pad. I have and I am quite disappointed the thing with apple is you never know what they are going to be bringing out next. You know will it be a super I pod that can cook your dinner for you, will apple bring out a car which can play music and phone people for you lol. Or will they do absolutely nothing. I vote for the latter because since the I pad has came out I have been very disappointed with apple and the way that they have tried to take over the game once again. I really thought they had it with this one, until the product came out. Its hard to know what apple will do next but if you really take the time to think about what they have done, and what they may do in the future you may actually be blown away. Take the i pod for example such as simple idea but it worked so well. This makes me think does apple on work well with products that are really needed.

We all know that the i pad probably is a whole bunch of fun, but is it something that you would consider buying and wanting to get your hands on for a super price? No of course not. Now would you use it for free, of course you would. Like you and many others I am also curious to try and use one, but I am sceptical that It truly will not work, well maybe time will change things, but for now I think I’m just going to stick to my I phone My I pod and Apple Mac computer, ahh the wonder of Steve job and his company, thanks for the products.

Of yeah and of course you can check out the apple website I have spoken to many people who have a lot of information on the product, but have not even checked the website that is distributing the products. I have also heard that if you have a big apple store near you there will be the ability for you to try one of these products out. The Ipad will range depending on where you live to, at least in what country anyway. Try to check it out and leave me some feedback hopefully we will have a ball of a time if someone gets their hands on one of them! Great stuff people catch up with you next time!

How confusing is RAM! Very apparently!

Today I realised that too run many of my programs at the same time I would most definitely have to get some more RAM. Now I thought it would be a simple case. In fact I thought that I could simply type my computers spec name and model into Google and there would be some great forum or information on what type of RAM that I would need for my computer, unfortunately I was very wrong. I found it very difficult to get any information on the computer which I needed ram for, and it was even harder because I found that My Computer is discontinued, so even if I did phone up the company, they may not be able to give me the necessary details that are important. As you can see this bugged me.

So after searching for hours and hours I finally found a place that would give me the right information. When looking for ram make sure you get the right pin, most rams are around 200pin and this is the one I needed. You should also check the speed on the ram. For my computer I needed a ram which was at 800mhz. Another you should check is of course the price, if you get it from a decent third party manufacturer, then I am sure that you will have no problems in getting a good deal. When you go the company that may have provided you with the computer then just simply, do not get what they offer. Of course if the price is right on the ram, then do so. However in most cases you will be getting ripped off, and you will be able to get a better deal elsewhere.

I would suggest that you take a good look around before purchasing one. There are many places online, and if you have serious problems finding out what type of RAM you will need for your computer, then I highly suggest that you phone the people who made your computer. The company (in most cases) will be able to tell you all the information that you will need to know about the computer and what ram it may need. Think about how much you want to spend and then get ram which is close to your buying budget, get the most ram you can get 2 or 4 gig is usually great, but make sure your computer can cope with that. If so u can bet that it will be just fine.

Laptop vs desktop

Now Ive been cut up over what to get next out of a new PC desktop or a new Mac desktop. Aswell as this very irritating and confusing predicament I have also been wondering something else. This is weather to get a laptop or a desktop. So if you think about it all in all I have a total of 4 choices, these choices are.
1. Mac desktop (which I originally wanted but I am not sure now)
2. Mac Mac book (definitely super cool and would suggest to get one if you are working on the move, and you are working with graphics or music programs)
3. Pc desktop (great value for money, I could probably get twice in the box, then what I would get for my Mac)
4. A normal PC laptop (a classic choice for affordable on the move work)

So I’m cut between the four and as many of you know, that all four choices have bonuses and disadvantages. I do work on the road a lot to be honest, so I think I may be getting a laptop, but which one. I sometimes work with graphics, depending on what type of job I am working on. I have recently started doing graphics and the programs I use are predominantly on Macintosh, this means that too carry on using these I would have to have a Mac computer. But for value for money, there is nothing like PC, the great thing is that it is easier to find components and part for PC rather than for Mac. Mac have almost monopolised the industry by making it difficult for third party company to work with Mac. For example if you want a hard drive the Mac people will only recommend you their own brand of hard drive which probably is twice as expensive as if you would get one normally. This can be a real bummer if you have not got the knowledge that we guys have.

To be honest I know im going to end up getting a laptop, because I am not working more on the move, in hotels and on trains. However I am still unsure over to get a Mac or a PC, I think over time My mind will give me the right solution, until then im going to sit back and look online at all my options, until the right one comes.

Laptop or PC...hhmmm

I’ve always thought that getting a laptop was like a richer man getting a PC. In other words laptops have always been that little bit more luxurious than not using one. I don’t know why this is. It may be because laptops have always been a grand upwards from 5 years or so ago, and I always found them to be a lot more expensive they the same computer would have been in a PC. Of course things have changed drastically now and now they are in fact a lot cheaper than PCs in many cases, of course it really does depend on where you get them from. I have often got mine from high street shops and paid a lot more than I should have. Going to smaller independent shops means that you will often get about 20 percent of even more of your laptop.

I would suggest that you look in as many places as possible for your laptop, and when you find the one that is right for you, try to see if you can haggle them down. This is another bonus with small more independent shops; the people who serve you often have more control over what price they can offer you. I have often got up to 30% of the price that they have offered my on laptops, however this has been on very specific products, and I would say that getting anything over 20% of is a great deal that you should be proud of. Get friends to look around for you too, the great things is that they may look in different places to you, and may look for cheap laptops in different resources; they can be very handy because you can get different prices and cheaper laptops from different places!

I am not sure what you should get, if you are thinking about getting either a laptop of a PC. Really the decision ends with you, and you should know that only you know what you will really need, and what will be super useful for you. If you are someone that works from home you may benefit from having a desktop PC, you can often get desktop PCs for a better price, and it is often easier to upgrade them, when you want to. However upgrades a laptops components can be a lot more expensive and can also be a lot harder to do. Think about these things when you are thinking about what you would like to get, and you will always be fine getting your new computer.

Internet saves Argos | The future of Uk retail, Argos

Im sure that over the next few years shops like Argos will benefit highly from the shopping that people do online. Argos, is obviously a very successful company, and its supremacy of the internet, and dominating it has lead to even more success. Unfortunately other UK stores such as Woolworths (and a few other ones) were not so successful online. However sometimes it makes me wonder, why did Argos succeed and Argos fail? I believe that If anything Argos should have failed because of the way the shop look. Of course Argos is just a collection point to get what you would have ordered from your catalogue.

Whereas Woolies is very different, this shop has a nice inside that people want to look and shop around, and be able to physically hold a product rather than just look at one in a catalogue. It actually leaves me quite shocked that Argos and other shops like It have succeeded compared to many other shops of similar nature. Maybe this is the way the shopping industry is heading. Once in Britain, it may have been true that most shoppers would have wanted to touch and see their product before buying it. However now because the internet has influenced how we buy things, we now no longer want or need to see a product or touch it before buying it. I think that this has helped shops like Argos to become the dominant force that they are today.

Out of all the UK retail stores I also noticed that they were one of the first ones to attack the internet with great power. A lot of the other shops saw the internet as a phase that would soon die out. Many of the other shops saw it as something that could wait, but Argos decided to attack it straight away. I think that this and many other factors has been absolutely paramount to the success of Argos, and will continue to be a force with the shop. I think that because people will not benefit from going in store (because the shop does not have your items on display) people have no problem buying from off their website. Basically buying offline or going to their shop will have little difference because, in both cases your product is not showcased in the shop, like it may be in other ones. When you go to Argos, you always know what you want, and you are ready to buy. Argos simply is not a browsing shop, and this is why it makes more money, and is more successful than its rivals.

netbook laptops vs normal laptops

So whats your opinion on the netbook laptops, up until now I have always thought that there was no point getting one. There are a few reasons for my thoughts on this. Firstly I am not sure about the laptops (as in the companies who make them), but I’m not sure that I trust some of the smaller manufacturers that do not make the normal laptops. Buying things as expensive as laptops means that, you should look after your money even more than usual. Laptops and notebook laptops can often cost you an arm and a leg if you go to a big high street store. I prefer to get mine from elsewhere, when I do eventually get it. However I would suggest that you look for the cheapest prices that you can get them from.

The main problem that I have, (or the main thing that I am not so sure about) is this, what is the point in getting a notebook laptop. Ok I understand that’s they are small and very good for carrying to places ect ect. But seriously what is wrong with the conventional laptop? I think that If you want to carry round a personal computer, you at least want to clearly see the screen, without trying to look extra hard. Some of these computers can be a real pain when you want to look at some small text that may be on the internet. Unless you are planning to carry your net book laptop in your pocket then I suggest you get a laptop bag, and then get a decent laptop. Obviously I am speaking from one perspective, and I would love to hear the views of many more people across the world, on this topic.

Of course what you get does highly depend on what work you would like to do, on your netbook laptop. Are you someone that would use your netbook laptop for word processing on the go? Or are you someone that would use your netbook laptop for graphic design and other forms of art, (where a big screen would be really useful). Of course these are things that you need to take into consideration whilst you are buying your netbook or laptop. Look at the deals you get on both types of laptop and make the decision, think about what you will be using it for, and what will work for you.

Ive been using mobile phones and many different forms of cell phones for a while now, and there a number of things that I have realised. There are obviously many different types and forms of models out there that may suit you will. May I add that there are many different prices that you may be paying for your cell phone. But there are also many things that happen to be the same in all cell phones. These are things such as the basic facts that they can all receive and send messages to one another. These are also things such as the fact that you can call people, no matter where they may be, in the world. However there are some things that I would like to mention.

You should always remember that there are many different things that you can do to your phone to improve its reception, many of these things can be found on increase and improve cell phone signal strength or reception. To do this, is to get the best out of your phone. I often don’t like to think that many people don’t use their phones to their best potential, this is quite scary. I think that often a cell phone will cost over $400 and sometimes much more. But most people tend to use only a small proportion of the technology and assets on their phone. I’m not sure why this is. It is maybe because the culture is lazy, or it may be because the people simply do not want to use the multiple functions. However you should know that you always deserve to get the best out of whatever you buy. This can range from what car you get, to what computer you buy. You should always get the best out of it and look towards making it better. This is why I have often done things to my phone like update the OS software. This can improve many things on your phone, usually and mainly the applications and the speed of the phone. It can also improve the speed of the internet, depending on what cell phone you have. Cell phones will be here for a long time, and over the last 15 years that they have been in use they seem to have gotten more and more dominant in our culture. To think that they were not available to buy 15 years ago and the internet was nonexistent seems like a joke. However it is not, just think about what will happen in 100 years time!

These can make some of the best sounds on a guitar and to be honest I don’t think that they are one of the harder acoustic guitar accessories that people often use. I have never heard anyone use one with an electric guitar but I’m sure you could try that too.

I have been researching vintage studio set-ups recently and I have come to many conclusions, and I have been taught a lot about them, and how they work. Vintage studio set-ups range in size and colour and variety. I have been into many different and highly varying vintage studio set-ups and found out that people work in many different ways whilst doing it, you should always look at different vintage studio set-ups when building your own. When I say building, I don’t mean literally, getting a studio by bricks and mortar. I mean building your vintage studio set-up from the inside out, if you do this, you will first focus on the things that are important.

When thinking about building your vintage studio set-up, think about the amount of time that you should put into it. The more time and thought that you will give to your vintage studio set-up, the better your vintage studio set-up will be and look. I often wonder how people make their vintage studio set-ups without taking out enough time to think about what equipment they may want to use with their place of work. Your music is the most important thing and you should not let anything get in the way of that. If your studio takes around a few years to build, or whether it takes a few months, only you know what it right for your vintage studio set-up. Always think about the spacing aswell, do you want your vintage studio set-up to be crammed, or do you want it to be nice and spacey, there are pluses for both. If your components to your vintage studio set-up are crammed, this will mean that they are pretty close. Why fight technology people, when it is giving us the great freedom and beauty that you see around you. Many people often ask me, why things have to be so complicated with technology, it’s a silly question really. The only reason that things are so complicated with technology is that it is doing so much! Why fight technology when it doesn’t so much for us, technology is helping us to communicate on a global scale, which was unheard of prior to the internet, so why fight technology, after these reasons have been exposed. Have you met up with an old friend thanks to facebook or some other technology? I ask myself everyday Why fight technology, Why fight technology, Why fight technology. Sometimes I think I am the only person who wants technology to exist.

If you are sensible enough, then try to understand the great technologies that they are giving us every day, where would we be without technology. When you need to find out what time the cinema’s are or when you want to see what the train’s times are, or the next train, what do you do. You may have phoned up the companies that own these services many years ago, but now everything has been made so easy. I think that the world is in the toddler steps of the internet and as it grows and becomes a more dominant part of human technology people will understand it great uses more. On the other hand we could see what we are seeing now with technology, we could see that people become more used to it, and take it for granted even more. This is not good, however I would recommend that you take a step back and realise what the internet is doing for us.

However I am not solely talking about the internet, I am talking about other things too. Like being able to use your mobile phones. This was not as popular 10 years ago when these devices were first introduced to technology. But now they are so dominant that people tend to forget that only 10 or 15 years ago, they were virtually non-existent. Imagine having to rely on meeting someone, somewhere in the 80’s. You could be able to text them, to tell them you are going to be late. You would have to be there on time. Why is technology still fought when it has given us the advancements we need on cancer and other life threatening diseases.

I went to the cinema yesterday to watch a great film that I have been interested in watching, It was called Avatar. The Avatar movie technology is somewhat great, there are 3D elements in the movie that make it far better than not watching it in the 3D, I have found that there are many reasons that films should have the Avatar movie technology, and other reasons why they shouldn’t have the Avatar movie technology. The Avatar movie technology has the use of 3D glasses, most cinemas give these away for free, and for a slightly more expensive experience you can have the opportunity to watch the Avatar movie technology and then keep the glasses. They do look pretty cool so it is not uncommon for people to actually wear these on a daily basis (just like I have been doing so since I watched the film). I would recommend seeing this film any day of the week. The Avatar movie technology starts when you see a man floating in an area, the film is set about 152 years in the future. The man is watching a bubble of liquid floating, as he concentrates’ on it, the bubbles appears to move towards you. This may seem quite shocking for someone who has yet to experience this; however it is a pleasant experience which most people enjoy watching. I have heard that some people found the Avatar movie technology quite uncomfortable to watch and at the times the Avatar movie technology was uncomfortable to watch.

At times the Avatar movie technology was uncomfortable to watch because of the way it was used. At times you felt a little confused especially when the screen would move whilst being in 3D, this seemed strange and the blurriness would make it a little uncomfortable for the eye. I would recommend for you to watch it and give me your opinions. Many people have told me that it has only happened to them after the first time they have watched a film with the Avatar movie technology, and others have told me it gets worse each time you watch the Avatar movie technology. I have only watched the film once so I am not sure. However I do truly think that they will master it eventually, if you are interested in the film; please do check out their website. Avatar is one of the best films I have seen this year.

MPC 6000 | New MPC 6000

The MPC6000 will be out soon and I’m sure that Akai have taken all the precautions that they can to ensure us that their new model is one of their best yet, are you struggling to believe the MPC6000 will be out soon can conquer their old models? I’m not sure I believe that this is the case.
Here are some of the rumours that have been circulating about the MPC6000. The MPC6000 may sound like it is better than the rest of the MPC series and this is definitely right. The new MPC6000 is sure to have a load of built in features that was previously not available in older models. Often the reason that I, (and many other people) choose to use software sampling rather than Hardware sampling is that the MPC is a machine that doesn’t let you route and modulate through various sources, However the MPC6000 now allows you to do this. So you’re asking me “will they see the end of Software” and my answer is, I doubt it. Software is now such a dominant force in computer music, and even acoustic music that uses computers to process it, that it will be hard for any piece of software such as the MPC6000 to beat it. The reason is that software is way more flexible than hardware and often hardware can be more expensive and a pain to set up, they also take up a lot more space than software. These are problems that the MPC6000 will always have; actually this is a problem that the MPC will also have, because it isn’t software. This probably won’t change; the reason the MPC is so great is because it appeals to the people who like to use Hardware samplers.

You or your people wouldn’t use a MPC6000 software version because the manufacturers in this area are probably better than the manufacturers that make the MPC6000. The MPC6000 would be able to beat many vst programs, and this is the problem that hardware manufacturers run into all of the time. Who knows where the music industry will end up going (production wise) Do you think hardware will once again take over and pieces such as the MPC6000 will reign again. Or do you think that the plug-ins will again rule the world and become more of a dominant force then they have already. Im not sure what will happen but I do know that the Akai MPC6000 will be one of the forces in music that will shake the world, stay tight for the MPC6000 and let’s see what is has to offer us.

So what exactly do you think of the blackberry and the iphone, are you someone that has a preference to one of them. Or are you someone who likes them both. You could even be someone that really doesn’t even like either of them! In that case I have no idea why you are currently reading this blog. Here are what I think about each phone: Blackberry or Iphone

The blackberry is truly a beautiful phone. The elegance and style that the phone has is second to none. I consider the blackberry to be more of a business phone than an actually play phone. The blackberry’s best feature is without a doubt it’s BBchat. With BBchat you can easily speak to different people around the world for free. This morning I used my blackberry to speak to my great cousin in Boston (I love our BB moments Katie) and basically we chatting for a few hours on the blackberry Chat. I would say that this is similar to Msn messenger. Thankfully for the people who use blackberry chat, it costs nothing more than using the internet on your blackberry. Most people who have a blackberry have it on contract; therefore they pay no extra additional charge for the feature. If you do know anyone that does pay an additional charge for their internet or blackberry messenger, and they are on pay as you go, then tell them to switch! Another plus on the blackberry is its integration with face book. This means that if you decide on using blackberry on your phone. It will put the names of the people next to the people who are in your phone. It does this by finding the name in your blackberry, and matching it to any same names you have in your blackberry. This will always be good, unless you have two people called John smith in your blackberry, then you will have problems.

the I phone is also a great piece of kit. I see the I phone as more of a toy for the younger generation. When I say younger generation I mean people between 16 and 25, if your younger than that age, then grant yourself very lucky to have an I phone. Some of the features and applications that they have given us to play with on the I phone are absolutely amazing. I would recommend anyone for an I phone if you like to play with your gadgets. Another great thing is that you can totally customise your I phone with all applications that suit you, this truly means that your I phone can fit your own personality.

Do you consider yourself to be technologically adept? In this case you may be wondering what I mean by saying the phrase “technologically adept”. To me, being technologically adept means a number of things, subjects and matter which are used in everyday life. I don’t mean, can you fly a plane or can you fix a car computer, just technologically adept in the loosest meaning of the term. Are you someone that can easily set up a blog or a website. Are you someone that finds it easy to use facebook or exchange data over the internet. I’m sure many of the people reading this blog would mainly be people who are technologically adept, but many (maybe even some of you guys are not). I would say that you are not technologically adept if you cannot send emails without struggling, or set up a facebook and chat to friends. Being technologically adept is now as important as being socially adept, because Society now lives on the internet. Ok, that may be slightly over the top, but the internet is definitely a big part of society. Can you find something using google, can you do research and see how popular a website is, this is truly being technologically adept.

Now, don’t worry if you are not technologically adept because it really is not that hard to do. It is almost natural, like being socially adept. The fact that being technologically adept is so important must be known to everyone. If you are not technologically adept there are a few easy steps you can take to being technologically adept. Firstly start a facebook or a blog, this is your portal to speak to the online world. Try to set up and email account and send information to a friend, try to vary the information so you can be technologically adept in all areas. I would also suggest finding a few topics and doing a lot of research on all of them, this will again help you to become technologically adept.

If you struggle with any of these basic things, then you are not technologically adept, but over time you will find it easy to do these few basic things online. There are also many different people online that will help you to become technologically adept, these are general everyday people, go onto forums and there will be groups and chats on basic things like this. Dont be technologically hurt, fit in with society.

Indie-Rap music | Indie-Rap music

Times are changing people and I think Indie-rap music will be the next big genre. I know that Indie-rap music is not established yet, some of you might even be thinking what is this. Indie-rap music is a genre of music in itself, as you can tell, the two genres Indie and Rap merged into one. The production side I believe will be more indie and the lyrical side will feature rappers. There have been other people that have told me it will be the other way round, i.e rapper and indie musicians doing vocals on rap beats (with an indie element). Rap music needs to move forward in a direction and if it doesn’t it will become a terrible commodity like the one it is slowly becoming now.

Indie-rap music will star many great rappers and indie bands. For example Chester French is a band that I talked about earlier, these guys are combining some of the production skills from both genre’s to create Indie-rap music. They have even worked with Jay-Z, this is Indie-rap music. This is a recent explosion of many rock artists loving the new scene that is forming.

You also probably heard of Jay-z in an interview, he was recently spotted at a Grizzly bear gig and he said that it was great. He also agreed that Rap music needs to go in this direction f learn to be individual again. I agree with him, as this truly is going to be the birth of a new era and many collaborations. The grey album by dangermouse was another album which was Indie-rap music, it was jay-z and the beatles on the same album. This was a huge success and made danger mouse a recognised producer within the music industry. Is CD dead, is Vinyl dead? Or is there still an ongoing market for these products. Technology and the future have provided us with many differences compared to the past. The last decade has (without a doubt) saw the biggest chances in music. CD’s are dead and I’m sure that over time, there will not be a format which will overcome this. Not a physical one that will do so anyway. CD’s are dead and the disposable option (mp3 and internet culture with music) will predominantly rule the music industry. So you’re asking me... “why do you say CD’s are dead? Do you think CD’s are dead because of the internet?”. Many of you have told me in the past that you don’t think the internet could change the industry that much. Well ill have to disagree with you on that one. The effects that the internet has had have been phenomenal.

These effects haven’t just changed the way we listen to our music, it has in turn changed the way music is distributed. CD’s are dead because of this. However unlike the transposition from Vinyl to CD, the transposition from CD to digital format (notably mp3) means more than one thing. Music is now easily disposable and all of us can get it, dispose of it, and get it back as we wish. This has generally devalued music. CD’s are dead because that we can get music when we want, it has the lost the exclusivity it once actually had. Without this many form of music will struggle to create a constant following.

The other reason that I believe CD’s are dead is because the music industry now is ran off people want choose to drive record sales, rather than the people who have to drive record sales. By this I truly mean that people now have the choice to pay for, or not to pay for music, this will create a decrease in sales like we have seen in the last few months. Who wants to pay for music when you can get it for free, this is what people ask me. I say that you know that CD’s are dead so do try to help the industry by paying for what rightly belongs to other people. Especially if you appreciate their work of art. Money gives art a value and makes people get the most out of what they have. CD’s are dead and there is no turning back, many opportunities will spurt from this, and many losses, But let try and make the opportunities out weight the losses that shall occur in the music industry.

Ok im going to talk today about why Mac computers rule. Mac computers rule for many reasons, some of which you may know about, some of which you will not know about. The computers are made and founded by the owner of the company Bill joy, around this time Bill gates was also started up in the business. Bill Joy is the president (or at least very very high up, probably the highest) of the company. Bill joy is a few months younger than gates which may be one of the reasons that he has always been second to PC.

Mac computers rule because they look slicker their slick design means that everything looks less complicated from the outside and this is very much the case. On the inside of the case (under the bonnet) the system will not let you down, Mac computers rule also because the ease of use. Once you have gotten past the whole “ I hate them mac’s” you will eventually be saying “Mac computers rule” because they really do. The interface is better on screen and safari rules internet explorer. Many programs on a mac you cannot get on a pc, this is yet another reason why Mac computers rule. These programs are many professional program such as Logic Pro 8 and also many video editing programs. There are usually no (or little amount) of bugs in the Mac world. Mac computers rule out viruses without even having virus software! This is amazing! To be honest Im not such If the whole world will eventually understand that Mac computers rule, I think that the PC has control over so much of the computer market that it will be difficult for Mr joy and his entourage to storm the world with his cool mac products.

Obviously the I phone and Other common products by the company have improved sales on other items the company stock. Hopefully Mac computers rule that much that you will be able to install the OS on non-mac computers. I would truthfully say that the idea of this wouldn’t be beneficial to the company. The reason for this is that people wouldn’t realise that Mac computers rule and get one. They would simply download the OS off the internet for free and then install it on their crappy PC’s. One day the personal computer will die out from a mass virus and everyone will use Apple computers; however im sure only time will tell. Until then I will continue to tell people how much Mac computers rule, and hope for this day!

The Fiasco of the Internet has changed popular culture over time; it is so powerful that for the first time ever it has influenced a number one, purely through blogs, posts and other online sources. The people wanted to go against pop rivals X factor. The power of the people has suppressed the masses by voting for a widely chosen song, this song was a song by Rage against the machine. Popular culture has being changed forever, As I looked down the list of Christmas Number ones in the UK I saw Robbie Williams, Spice girls, The Beatles and then Rage against the machine.

As bloggers and blog readers across the world decided that they wanted Rage against the machine to win the Christmas number one. Popular culture really was influenced by this because Rage against the machine did win the Christmas number one. Popular culture is changing through the internet, if it wasn’t for the internet then there would have been no chance that the people of popular culture would have chosen the song. Well more to the point they probably wouldn’t have gotten the exposure they needed to inform everyone about voting. Popular culture also changed with downloaded many years Gnarls Barkley was the first artist to ever get to number one solely on downloads. How do you think this is changing popular culture? Is this good for the people in popular culture or not?

I am certain that things will change even more in the future. Maybe in the future popular culture will totally eliminate the Idea and concept of the CD and the only way of purchasing music will be online. Who knows how popular culture will change music and what effects it will have on it. Where do you think it will go, how do you think it will change? Im pretty sure that Itunes will become brought by Google eventually and google will take over the world after it has brought yahoo, then Google will buy facebook and truly own the internet. Lol, no but seriously I do think that Google will end up buying Itunes, but popular culture will definitely change due to the circumstances and powers around the internet. With more Itunes and mp3 sales it is very easy to forget about buying music in a physical form. As the internet becomes more of a dominant part in popular culture, the internet will most definitely change music.

Blackberry or Iphone

For the past few months I’ve decided that I need invest in a new phone. My old phone is absolutely terrible and the battered Nokia just doesn’t do me the justice it used to do 4 years ago when it first came out. Blackberry or iphone hhhmmm, I seem to see that these are the best phones that are currently out at the minute. There seems to be this whole big fuss over which ones wins the battle.

Personally (talking from little or no experience) I thought that the I phone was more based at a professional business crowd, people who drink coffee at Starbucks reading tabloid newspapers on their work breaks, texting on their blackberry. And on the other hand I thought that the I phone was more for a more youthful crowd. The Iphone is more of a gimmicky play toy rather than a professional business phone. When I say the I phone is youthful I mean that the people who buy it may be older, but they are more youthful than the people who buy the blackberry.

So all in all I thought the demographics were totally different. May the battle of the Blackberry or I phone is more to do with the fact that they are both the most popular mobile phones, even though they are aimed at two totally different crowds. I would also say that people who are more into playing and using the internet for social reasons are people who would get the Iphone rather than the lack Blackberry. So as I look further in the Blackberry or I phone question I’ve looked at both of them into basic terms

The I phone has more application and is more application based, this is why the I phone may win over all in the Blackberry or I phone battle. The application are actually incredible, you can use your computer, using the I phone as a mouse and a keyboard, or use applications that will give you cheaper calls to certain numbers. Also the internet is generally a lot faster than the blackberry and the screen is more user friendly towards to consumer, its easy to zoom in and out with its touch screen technology.

The blackberry also has a good chance in the Blackberry or I phone competition. You know why? The Blackberry has BBchat. This is an exclusive chat (like msn messenger) that only people with a blackberry can use. The phone is all in all simpler, slicker, less complicated and more professional, rather than basing the phone around the applications, blackberry people have based it around organisation. This is probably one of the reasons that it is suited for business more than pleasure, I think im gonna get a blackberry, well we shall see what happens when I walk into the shop next week!

Cheap Electronic drum kit | what is there puropse

The cheap electronic drum kit is one which now is available in most music stores however how does it match up with its comparison, the original drum kit? Well as a musician, I don’t actually have a personal favourite. It’s actually quite funny because when people first read about or hear about a cheap electronic drum kit they instantly assume that, there is no need to make an electronic version to the drum kit when real drums work so well. The cheap electronic drum kit I am talking about isn’t one in particular; there is a range of the electronic drum kit’s which means that the competition for companies and manufactures making them is hard, they cheap electronic drum kit companies are constantly pushing boundaries to make their cheap electronic drum kit’s some of the best ones. For example when the electronic drum kit’s first came out they have a velocity curve, so that depending on how hard you hit the drum the sound would be either louder, or quieter. Then Roland released their electronic drum kit and not only did the strength of hitting it change in volume, it also changed in timbre and sound. It would obviously sound harsher when hit harder, and softer when hit more calmly. This raises another question I find difficult to understand. Are the manufactures that create the electronic drum kit aiming to create a new hybrid product that has the possibility to create new sounds, or is it merely just trying to imitate what a real drum kit can do. If the latter then why would they create such features, such as velocity sensitive pads, that change in timbre, like a real drum kit. Electronic drum kit manufactures are struggling to find where they are going whilst they are making these electronic drum kit’s. I think for the electronic drum kit to be any use it needs to go in a different direction to the non- electronic drum kit or its durability within the industry will be an unfortunate and limited one. Roland seem to be the manufactures that are making the best, or the most widely used electronic drum kit’s but it seems they (like the other producers) are going in a direction that has no market for. Its like making synthesizer to sound like real instruments, what is the need in the professional industry where people would much rather have the real thing. The only plus is that you wouldn’t have to pay for a string quartet should you plat it on a keyboard. However with a drum kit there has to be a drummer either way, with a cheap electronic drum kit or a non electronic drum kit. Well I they are good to use but I’m just very interested and sceptical over what direction they will turn.

For the past few decades synthesizers have become a dominants force in music but let’s stop to think, what is the future of synthesizers? Is the future of synthesizers within the realms of computer music plug’in’s and VST’s? Programs like Logic and Cubase (Protools too) are definitely effecting the future of synthesizers for the good or the bad. Many studios have been now smalled down because of the compatibility of VST’s and AU plug-in’s that studios now provide. Less Synthesizers are available simply because it is more efficient to buy synths in the form of plugins. This definitely affects the future of synthesizers although I will say one. I truly think that forever the future of synthesizers will be never cease to be only hardware of software because there is a market for both. Neither can die because they both have a market in their own and both have dedicated markets and fan bases. The reason the future of synthesizers has begun to evolve now, rather than earlier to that the quality of plug’in’s are now incredible, somewhat being able to match hardware synthesizers themselves! I will go into the pro’s and con’s of each one:

Hardware synths – This is where synthesizers came from, so the future of synthesizers will be loosely based around the original technology, the basic principles will remain the same. Analog sounds warm and comfortable rather than harsh and digital, depending on what sound your designing, hardware of software synthesizers will be ready for use. You can also get digital or part analog hardware synths. Hard ware synths do take up a lot of space, but the future of synthesizers has seemed to show us more compatibility in the synths nowadays, such as the Virus T.I and other synthesziers.

Software synths – of the future of synthesizers as some people would state, firstly their compatibility and ease of use is second to none. They can be stored on your computer screen and work just as well if not better sometimes. Although this concept may have seemed strange, if not impossible back in the 60’s the future of synthesizers have come a long way since the mellotron (now you can even get them in plug in form). Software synths are often free from certain companies that deal with shareware so for beginners this is a perfect place to start. Many beginners carry on using them once they get moderately successful.

So the big question will it change the future of synthesizers? I highly doubt so. The sound analog synths create just cant match anything else, due to the processing and signal chain, however Software if definitely the new “in”.
